ESPN’s Dick Vitale diagnosed with cancer for fourth time

ESPN college basketball commentator Dick Vitale shared on social media that he is facing cancer for the fourth time. Vitale disclosed on Friday that a lymph node biopsy in his neck confirmed the presence of cancer. He is set to undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Expressing gratitude for the prayers and support from his loved ones, colleagues at ESPN, and friends, Vitale stated on social media, “With all the (prayers) I have received & the loving support of my family, friends and ESPN colleagues, I will win this battle.” The 85-year-old has battled melanoma and lymphoma in the past and underwent radiation treatment last year for vocal cord cancer.
