Broward County deputies arrested a knife attack victim due to an outstanding warrant for a DUI hit-and-run crash.

Huber Vasquez-Lopez, 22, suffered injuries and was robbed while riding a bicycle in Deerfield Beach. He had outstanding felony warrants related to a DUI hit-and-run crash in Margate that injured a woman in January.

Vasquez-Lopez had an alcohol level of .313 after crashing into a Mazda 3. He told police that the other driver was at fault, but witnesses contradicted his statement.

Vasquez-Lopez is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash with personal injury, four counts of driving under the influence, driving without a valid driver’s license, and six pre-trial violations. He was denied bond and is at the North Broward Bureau in Pompano Beach. His attacker remains at large.
