DeMarcus Ware was formally admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. At a special ceremony in Canton, Ohio, the iconic linebacker had his moment with Ronde Barber, Don Coryell, Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko, Darrelle Revis, Ken Riley, Joe Thomas, and Zack Thomas in this year’s class of enshrinement. Even after Ware was admitted into the Hall of Fame, his fans, especially those of his ex-wife Taniqua Smith, have been curious to learn more about his personal life.

Who is DeMarcus Ware’s Ex-Wife, Taniqua Smith?

Taniqua’s birthdate was August 8, 1981. Her parents’ identities are unknown, although rumors have it that she is a police officer’s daughter. Interestingly, Taniqua initially connected with DeMarcus while attending Auburn High School in Alabama. After becoming close, the pair started dating.

Taniqua supposedly worked in a deli and frequently smuggled sandwiches, cookies, and chocolates from Snickers, Gatorade, and other snacks to DeMarcus to help him get the nutrition he needed for his football career.

Just one month before DeMarcus was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL, the pair tied the knot in an Alabama courtroom in March 2005. After graduating, Taniqua joined the Air Force as a personnel member.

Regretfully, Taniqua tried to have a family with Ware and suffered through three complicated and delicate pregnancies. Before giving birth to Omar, a stillborn child, they experienced their first miscarriage in April 2006. After Taniqua and DeMarcus made three unsuccessful attempts at conception, the physicians found in January 2008 that the fetus had died.

Who are DeMarcus Ware’s Children?

However, the couple’s adoption of Marley, a female child, later in 2008 brought them happiness. DeMarcus and Taniqua became first-time biological parents two years later, on November 20, 2010, when they welcomed a son named DeMarcus Jr.

However, after seven years of marriage, DeMarcus Ware and Taniqua Smith divorced in 2012. To the benefit of their kids, they keep their excellent relations going. In April 2021, Ware got married again, and he and his wife Angela had a kid named Michael.

DeMarcus Ware’s NFL Stats:

The Dallas Cowboys selected DeMarcus Ware in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Before signing a three-year contract with the Denver Broncos, the linebacker played nine years in Dallas.

Over his 12 years in the NFL, Ware amassed 654 tackles, 138.5 sacks, 35 forced fumbles, and three interceptions. He was awarded nine Pro Bowl awards, four All-Pro First-Team honors, and a 2016 Super Bowl championship with the Broncos.
