Missing paddleboarder found dead: Outlook RCMP

A tragic incident occurred at Douglas Provincial Park on Lake Diefenbaker, resulting in the death of a paddleboarder. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed the incident and launched an investigation.

According to reports, the adult male paddleboarder failed to resurface after entering the water. Emergency services recovered his body later that afternoon.

The incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of water safety and the need for caution when engaging in water activities. The Saskatchewan branch of the Lifesaving Society stresses the importance of wearing life jackets, avoiding alcohol consumption, and being aware of one’s swimming abilities to prevent such tragedies.
