In the Saturday rally of US President Donald Trump, a 50-year-old ex-chief of the firefighters named Corey Compertore “died a hero” while shielding his daughters from the bullet. Comperatore, a Trump supporter, attended a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two daughters, but suddenly gunshots erupted in a rally, and in order to save his family, he shielded them with his body. Governor Sharpio commended Comperatore’s bravery: “Corey died a hero.”

Joe Biden also extended his condolences to Comperatore’s family during a speech on Saturday afternoon, saying, “He was a Father. He was protecting his family from the bullets that were being fired. He lost his life. God loved him.”

Who Was Corey Comperatore?

Comperatore lived in Sarver, Pennsylvania. He was the father of two daughters, Allyson and Kaylee, who are both in their 20s. As per his social media account, he was an engineer at a plastic manufacturing company in Butler. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Buffalo Township, just northeast of Pittsburgh.

“Corey was a girl dad. Corey was a firefighter. Corey went to church every Sunday. Corey loved his community. Most especially, Corey loved his family.”

Who Were The Other Two Victims At The Trump Rally?

There are two other victims of that cruel incident at the Trump rally. According to Governor Sharpio, two other people from Pennsylvania were also shot at the rally. The Pennsylvania State Police identified the injured as David Dutch, age 57 years, and James Copenhaver, age 74 years. Both of them were hospitalized at Allegheny General Hospital and are recovering well and are in stable condition, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The former president was hit in the ear, causing blood to spatter on his face, but was otherwise unharmed.

US Representative Ronny Jackson said, “ His nephew was injured but thankfully his injury was not serious.”

The shooter identified by the FBI is 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of nearby Bethel Park, who was killed by a Secret Service Sniper.
