Amber Rose Ex-Husband – Why Did The Couple Get Divorced?

Amber married Wiz Khalifa in 2013, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomas, and is an American rapper; he is known for his famous songs Black and Yellow, Roll Up, and No Sleep. Khalifa started growing after the release of his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006. He also collaborated with famous artists such as The Weekend, Charlie Puth, and 50 Cent. 

Khalifa started dating model Amber Rose in early 2011; they got engaged on March 1, 2011, and married on July 8, 2013. They announced their divorce on September 24, 2014, and have joint custody of their son. After the divorce, Khalifa announced in 2016 that his girlfriend, Aimee Aguilar, is expecting their first child together. A daughter after dating for five years. 

In April 2023, it was announced that Khalifa would be taking on his first BJJ match against an unconfirmed opponent under the High Rollerz ruleset.

Khalifa was arrested in Romania in July 2024 for illegal drug possession following an incident where he smoked cannabis onstage during a concert.

Why Did The Couple Get Divorced?

Amber filed for the divorce on September 22, 2014, claiming irreconcilable differences, and the divorce was finalized in 2016.

Amber addressed people after the divorce: “ Wiz will always be my best friend,  forever – we’re best friends.

“It’s kind of weird because it’s like we’re almost better divorced, you know?”

Rose And Khalifa’s Son 

The couple welcomed a son named Sebastian Taylor Thomoz during their marriage on February 21, 2013. Amber also has a son named Slash Electric Alexander Edwards, whom she welcomed in 2020, along with her ex Alexander Edwards.

Wiz, in his 2019 docuseries, discussed how his son, Sebastian, who is sometimes referred to as Bash, encouraged him to mature.

He stated: “ Bash is a huge part of that transition – and not being with his mother, too, because it forced me to be more responsible and do the things I wouldn’t normally do,”  

He further stated, “ The older that he gets, the more influence I have on him. So it’s not as much as just making sure he’s good; it’s actually being there.”
