Bob’s father was George David Newhart, who was a part owner of a plumbing supply business, while his mother, Julia Pauline, was a housewife. His father was of German and Irish descent, while his mother was of Irish descent. 

His father and mother raised him in Chicago, where he attended school and graduated. Bob shared good memories with his parents as they supported him in his career which lastly gave fruitful results.

Bob Newhart’s wife was Ginnie Newhart, who was born on December 9, 1940. Ginnie Newhart came from a Hollywood family as her father, Bill Quinn, was a character actor who appeared in multiple television shows and films throughout his career. She married Bob in 1963, and both shared each other’s love till their last breath. 

Bob and Gennie share 60 years of love together, and Bob thanks her for the unconditional support and love in every moment of his life. 

Bob Newhart’s Children

After being married in 1963, their love for each other continued to grow and led to the blossoming of their first child, Robert, in the same year. Timothy, their second child, was born in 1966, and then their daughters and sisters of two brothers, Jennifer and Courtney, were born in 1970 and 1977, respectively.

The younger daughter and elder sons attempted their hand in Hollywood at one point, but later, they didn’t follow their father’s professional path. However, Timothy worked in Get a Life, Ferris Bueller, and Newheart in the early 1990s. On the other hand, Robert has only one acting credit in Heart and Souls of 1993, while Courtney continued as a production assistant on George & Leo.
