Amber alert issued for 4-month-old missing has been dismissed
Following the kid’s safe arrival at a truck stop, the Amber Alert for the missing 4-month-old Simpsonville baby was discontinued on Friday night. In a news release on Friday night, the Simpsonville Police Department stated that an Amber Alert was issued after the mother of the child reported that the baby’s father, Michael Lay, 28, had physically abused her and taken the child. Authorities reported that around 6:20 p.m., they received a call at the residence on Buck Creek Road. By phone, officers “tried to persuade Lay to return the child,” according to the press release. As soon as he refused, an Amber Alert was set off and the youngster was reported missing. Lay’s vehicle was located by the Shepherdsville Police Department.
According to the description, Paislee Lay weighs roughly ten pounds and has blue eyes and blonde hair. Her last known outfit was a pink onesie. Authorities stated that she was last seen with her father, Michael Lay, who stands around 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. Michael Lay has blue eyes and black hair. According to sources she was a green 1998 Buick Le Sabre with the K2R477 license plate. The right headlight of the car is taped over, and it’s possible that the license plate is missing.
It was at a truck stop on East Blue Lick Road in Bullitt County at 7:17 p.m. that the Shepherdsville Police Department discovered the car carrying Lay and the infant. Officers added that Lay was brought into custody on a Simpsonville warrant and that the infant was examined out at a hospital.
