Second person who got affected from Trump rally released from hospital
Following an attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump, the second protester hurt in the incident has been released from the hospital. On July 13, James Copenhaver was shot during a Trump event in Pennsylvania, resulting in critical injuries. The 74-year-old was discharged from Pittsburgh’s Allegheny General Hospital on Friday.
The final victim of the Trump rally shooting to be discharged from the hospital is James Copenhaver, 74.
Copenhaver was one of two onlookers hurt in the incident; David “Jake” Dutch was the second victim and was discharged from the hospital last week.
Over $6 million has been raised for the families of Dutch, Copenhaver, and Comperatore through an online fundraising that was endorsed by President Trump. Copenhaver’s family revealed he had suffered “life-altering injuries” a few days following his hospital stay.
Jim’s family posted a message at that time on his behalf, saying, “Jim would like to especially thank the hospital staff, medics, and first responders who have provided him with initial and continuing care.” Jim would also like to offer up his prayers and thoughts for President Trump, the families of the other victims, and the other victims. He offers up prayers for everyone’s quick and safe recovery. The Secret Service shot and killed the 20-year-old gunman who carried out the attack. Numerous inquiries into the shooting incident and the security lapses are still in progress.
