Rich Paul is an American sports agent and the founder of Klutch Sports Group, born December 16, 1980. One of his most famous clientele is a basketball player, LeBron James, with whom he has known for many years.

Paul was raised in a one-bedroom apartment situated on the second floor above the R & J Confectionery store on East 125th and Arlington Street in Forest Hills, Cleveland’s east side area. His father sponsored him to Benedictine High School, which is a private, fee-charging Catholic institution. He lost his father to cancer just three years before – in 1999.

After the launching of the NBA draft in 2003, Paul became part of the small circle of close friends that included James’ close friends Maverick Carter and Randy Mims. He would later be working under Leon Rose, who had negotiated James’ extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers of 2006 at Creative Artists Agency. Paul, in the same manner as James, left Rose and CAA in 2012 to begin his firm, the Klutch Sports Group.
