Nanda Kishore is a gem of Tamil and Telugu movies while working in script writing and directing. He continues to write both scripts directly. Also, he occasionally features briefly in a song or two from his films.

Out of all the films of Nanda Kishore, quite a number are remakes from either Tamil or Telugu films. He has been active since the release of Victory in 2013, which was also his breakout film and a substantial hit in its first week.

Nanda Kishore’s Personal Life

Nanda Kishore is an Indian film director and screenwriter who is married to Sulochana. They tied the knot in Bangalore and have five children, Asha, Archana, Kavita, Yogesh, and Nitesh, all of whom are involved in specific roles in the Jaipur Rugs Company. Kishore, born in Sagara, Karnataka, is known for directing successful films like “Victory” (2013), “Adyaksha” (2014), and “Ranna” (2015).

He is the son of Kannada film actor Sudhir and Malati, and his brother Tharun Sudhir is also a well-known film director in the Kannada cinema. 

Nanda Kishore’s Professional Career

The following year, he directed his first successfully received movie titled “Victory” in 2013. The Kannada film got a good response, though the story was similar to Ganeshana Galate’s.

The following year, to satisfy the comedy genre, Kishore directed the Kannada movie Adyaksha, which is a remake of the Tamil language film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sanga. He is also seen in the video of the song Phonu llla though he does not even sing the song.

Ranna, the movie released in 2015, was a new milestone for Nanda Kishore to come through many struggles, and with Sudeep’s help, he could attain great success. A movie spun from the Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi; the movie was successful commercially.

Some of the awards the movie has been nominated for are Best Music Director at IIFA Utsavam and Best Actress Critic for Rachita Ram at the 63rd Filmfare Awards South. Other quality works by Nanda Kishore include Mukunda Murari (2016) and Tiger (2017), the latter of which is a translation of the Bollywood movie OMG: Oh My God!
