Worker of Wells Fargo found dead
Arizonan authorities are looking into the murder of a Wells Fargo employee who was discovered dead at her workstation four days after she was discovered scanning into her office on a Friday morning. Authorities said that 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme entered her Wells Fargo office building on Tempe, Arizona’s 1100 block of West Washington Street at 7 a.m. on August 16, according to local media.
Building security contacted authorities on August 20th citing a “subject down,” according to AZ Family. An employee who wished to remain anonymous told 12News that during a building tour, a coworker discovered Prudhomme dead in her workstation. At 4:55 p.m., authorities declared Prudhomme dead at the scene, according to local reports citing Tempe police. states that Prudhomme’s cubicle was set back from the main aisle on the third floor.
Many people reported a bad smell, but the staff member who spoke with 12News said they thought it was because of plumbing issues. “It’s really heartbreaking and I’m thinking, ‘What if I was just sitting there?'” a different staff member said to the outlet. Would no one come check on me? The worker continued, saying, “It would make me sick to know that she has been sitting at the desk like that. and no action was taken. She used her final minutes in this manner.
A Wells Fargo representative, meanwhile, released the following statement to 12News: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague at our Tempe office.” During this trying time, our prayers and thoughts are with their loved ones and family. We offer our employees access to counselors via our employee assistance consulting service. We will forward any additional inquiries to the Tempe Police Department, with whom we are fully assisting in their investigation.
The preliminary inquiry did not reveal any signs of foul play, according to the authorities. To ascertain Prudhomme’s cause of death, the Tempe Police Criminal Investigations Bureau is presently collaborating with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner.
