Charges Filed as Authorities Continue Search for Missing Woman

Cavett Jack Richards, 36, now faces charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy, and concealing a dead body related to the disappearance of his girlfriend, Shayna Feinman, 35. Authorities have also charged William Thomas DalCerro, 58, the property owner, with involvement in Feinman’s death. Feinman, originally from New York, had relocated to Arizona a few years ago. She was last seen on March 9 in the Peach Springs/Hyde Park area near Seligman, Arizona, while on her way to a friend’s house. Unfortunately, she never reached her destination, sparking a search that has led to the current charges but no discovery of her body.

Disappearance and Evidence Discovery

The search for Feinman began in earnest when her vehicle was found near the property where she had been staying with Richards. Inside the vehicle were her wallet and ID, raising immediate concerns about her safety. Further investigation led authorities to find her cell phone on a nearby property, deepening the mystery of her whereabouts. Initially, both Richards and DalCerro were arrested in April on unrelated charges, including weapons violations, tampering with evidence, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

These charges came as law enforcement gathered evidence related to Feinman’s disappearance. However, as the investigation progressed, authorities determined there was sufficient evidence to charge both men in connection with Feinman’s presumed death. Despite these developments, Feinman’s body has not yet been recovered. A reward of $10,000 has been offered for any credible information leading to the discovery of her body. Feinman was described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing sweatpants, athletic shorts, a hoodie, and green hiking boots.

Witness Accounts and Family Concerns

As the investigation unfolds, witness accounts and statements from Feinman’s family have painted a disturbing picture of her final days. A witness reported hearing an argument between Feinman and DalCerro shortly before she disappeared. According to the witness, DalCerro, who owned the cabin where Feinman was staying, demanded that she leave the property, leading to a heated exchange.“They were yelling and screaming at each other,” the witness told local media. “He’s like, ‘You have to leave. I’m calling the sheriff.’ She’s like, ‘I need to get my phone and  keys.’”

Feinman’s sister, Kara Feinman, has expressed deep sorrow and regret, revealing that Shayna had confided in friends about feeling unsafe in her relationship and living situation. Kara believes that Shayna’s fears may have foreshadowed the tragedy that would unfold. “On more than one occasion, she shared about feeling fearful and not feeling safe. It’s really hard to read those things,” Kara said in an interview. “I don’t think she was in a healthy relationship. I don’t think that they treated each other nicely.” As the case moves forward, the focus remains on finding Shayna Feinman’s body and bringing closure to her grieving family. The charges against Richards and DalCerro suggest a grim outcome, but the search for answers—and justice—continues.
