HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (TCN) — Buck McCoy, 43, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being convicted of continuously sexually abusing six young girls across Texas. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office secured the life sentence following a jury’s verdict last week.

During the trial, jurors heard from the six victims, who detailed McCoy’s crimes. Prosecutors revealed that McCoy began his abuse in 2012, manipulating his way into various families and gaining the trust of parents before molesting their daughters, who were typically between the ages of 10 and 12.

Although McCoy listed his address as Alvarado, Texas, he had been residing in the Houston area since around 2016. He was arrested by Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies in 2022 after the victims came forward.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg commented, “This predator deserved a life sentence. He preyed on children, the most vulnerable members of our community, and demonstrated repeatedly that he cannot be trusted.”

Assistant District Attorney Danielle Oxford praised the bravery of the victims who testified and expressed gratitude that the jury held McCoy accountable for his actions.
