Slash’s Late Stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s Cause of Death Revealed After She Died at Age 25
Slash’s stepdaughter, who was 25, passed away at the age of 25 from “hydrogen sulphide toxicity,” the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office said in a press statement. Her suicide claimed her life. “High concentrations” of the “highly toxic, colorless gas” can cause “rapid unconsciousness and death,” according to the Centers for Disease Control. The Guns N’ Roses guitarist, 59, posted on Instagram on July 21 announcing that Knight had passed away “peacefully” on July 19 at the age of 25 in Los Angeles. He described Knight as a “lovely, sweet soul, a passionate dreamer, and an incredibly talented artist.” He made two requests on Instagram: “for privacy” and “social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.” Slash’s agents, they declined to comment, and the musician did not disclose any details about the cause of her death at the time.
Two days after Knight passed away, on July 21, an apparently planned post with a selfie and a remark discussing her relationships with the people in her life was uploaded to her Instagram page. Born on December 6, 1998, Knight was the “beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson,” according to the “Beautiful Dangerous” musician’s Instagram statement.
He wrote, “My heart is permanently [sic] fractured,” next to a picture of Knight. “I will always remember how much joy, laughter, creativity, and beauty you have always radiated, and I will never stop missing you.” & still do.” Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, first dated Meegan Hodges, the mother of Knight, in 1989. But the couple broke up until 2015, when they resumed their relationship over twenty years later. Prior to disclosing the news of Knight’s passing, the legendary guitarist had used to social media to announce the postponement of four dates on his 2024 S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour, scheduled for July 22–27.
