BEAVERTON: Police stated on Saturday that the neighbor of an Oregon nurse who vanished this past week has been charged with her murder and that the nurse’s body has been located. The Beaverton Police Department reported on Facebook on Thursday that officers went to the residence of Melissa Jubane, 32, at 1050 SW 160th Avenue in Beaverton on Wednesday to perform a welfare check after she failed to show up for her morning shift at St. Vincent Hospital. After searching Jubane’s flat, police declared her absence & lack of communication to be “unusual and alarming.”

No Fresh Details About Her Whereabouts

Melissa’s phone looked to be turned off, according to police, despite their best efforts to reach her throughout the day. “Moreover, inquiries into Melissa’s credit card and bank accounts turned up no fresh details about her whereabouts.” According to a police report on Saturday, Bryce Johnathan Schubert, 27, one of neighbors of Jubane, was detained and accused of killing her after the inquiry. Online records state that Schubert is being held at the Washington County, Oregon, jail on a charge of second-degree murder. It’s unclear right now if he has legal representation.

Withholding Further Details

The body of Jubane was also found. The location of Jubane’s remains, who discovered them, or how Schubert was supposedly implicated in her murder have all been kept under wraps by the police. According to the authorities, “this is an ongoing investigation.” “While we recognize the major community interest & concern, we should withhold further information to preserve the truth of the investigation.” If you have any information about Jubane’s death, please call the Beaverton Police Department on 503-526-2280. We would want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone in the community who has helped in Melissa’s quest. Melissa’s family, friends, and coworkers have our sincere condolences, according to the police.
