Police Charged The Suspect, Ronald Schroeder, After Finding A Woman Dead In A Suitcase
Suffolk County: Police discovered the remains of a missing woman stashed in a bag, and while the cause of death is unknown, prosecutors have accused a man with concealing a human corpse. During Ronald Schroeder’s arraignment on Saturday, the state mentioned that he was carrying date rape drugs.

Authorities haven’t clarified how the victim, Seikeya Jones, 31, ended up in that luggage in a forest area near 320 Nassau Road in Huntington, New York, on Tuesday morning. She was reported missing on August 16 after she failed to return to her residence on Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station. She is apparently the mother of a four year old son. Jones was found with her hands and ankles bound in a fetal position. Police discovered jump ropes. It’s unexplained how she could have come in contact with Schroeder, who can be seen on CCTV hiding his face from the cameras while being handcuffed by police.

Suspect Didn’t Show Up For His Trial
At Penn Station in New York City, he had been taken into custody. In addition, there was a bench warrant for his arrest. He was also accused by MTA Police with Third-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.Schroeder allegedly failed to show up for his trial; according to his lawyer, the defendant forfeited his right to a face-to-face appearance, claiming he was ill. There will be no bond or bail, the court declared.
