Minnesota: A Minnesota man has to contend with murder charges after reportedly murdering two people and wounding nine others while driving his BMW X5 through the patio of a crowded restaurant while intoxicated. Steven Frane Bailey, 56, was already facing vehicular homicide and drunk driving charges for the incident that occurred on September 1 at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, Minneapolis.

Details About The Crime

After analyzing security footage from the heinous crime, prosecutors introduced two counts of third-degree murder for doing a dangerous conduct with a depraved mind. According to authorities, the video showed him driving a BMW through the parking lot and colliding with a parked vehicle. Bailey is accused of driving through the parking lot and colliding with an SUV while attempting to flee the scene. He proceeded to accelerate toward the terrace. Following the collision with the Black SUV, the defendant drives straight past a two-lane road in the parking lot as well as 11 parking spaces before plowing through a metal barrier and into the patio seating area.

The Suspect Killed 2 And Injured 9

Bailey allegedly plowed into several people and jammed tables, failing to stop throughout the whole length of the restaurant terrace. He came to an abrupt stop after colliding with two boulders at the bottom of a steep rise. When authorities got on the scene, they found broken tables, chairs, debris, and several victims. One woman, Kristina Marie Folkerts, 30, was discovered trapped beneath the BMW. Officers moved the car to bring her out, but paramedics pronounced her dead. Another victim, Gabriel Quinn Harvey, 30, was brought to the hospital but tragically died.

All About The Victims

Kristina Marie Folkerts was ambitious, a dedicated worker who adored her Park Tavern family, and a photographer. She also enjoyed music, attending concerts, and her Starbucks. Kristina was extremely enthusiastic about her artwork, knew exactly what she wanted, and was a genius in many fields. She was free spirited and saw beauty in everyone. Gabriel served as a health unit coordinator in Methodist Hospital’s ICU. He was about to graduate from nursing school in December and had been out with coworkers when the tragedy occurred. Gabe and his partner, Denzel, had recently purchased a new home and were in the midst of settling in.
