Mother Pushed Her One-year-old Out Of The Car For Spilling Shampoo

She Spilled Shampoo On The Rear Seat

Near Northwest 37th Avenue & 54th Street last Thursday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the incident took place. Laurent Salazar, a detective with the Hialeah Police Department, said in the request that a woman who was in the car with Mills as well as her daughter said what had transpired. Police added that following the event, she gave the detective a call. “Spilled shampoo over the rear seat,” was how it all started, according to the woman. Per the report by the police, the lady claimed that Mills “became angry & beat (Cassidy), also hitting her several times.”

According to her testimony, Cassidy “continued to cry” during the assault, which allegedly made Mills even more irate. According to the warrant, at that point, Mills “pushed (Cassidy) out of her vehicle, resulting (her falling on the asphalt,” by opening the back passenger side door from the inside of the car. Mills then left, according to the police. They added that the toddler was rescued from the street by a woman with her boyfriend. They were both behind Mills at a red light. Salazar reported that the man he spoke with claimed to have heard a woman yelling, “The baby, the baby!” while driving with his window down.

The man then witnessed Cassidy “lying face down in the asphalt” while Mills drove off, and the rear door of the Malibu opened. According to the police, he ran outside, grabbed her, and gave Cassidy to his own girlfriend so that he could go get some wipes to clean Cassidy off. Gravel had covered the girl’s face. According to the warrant, Cassidy’s girlfriend informed Salazar that she was “bleeding from her head plus and had trouble breathing.”

She Was In Shock Completely

The man reported to the police that he saw Mills “driving erratically” and that he then made a U-turn to go back to the spot while looking for wipes. When Mills stopped, the woman with him told the police that she “took the chance to get out of the car with her own 8-year-old son.” According to the police, Mills violently reclaimed her daughter from the man’s girlfriend after stopping. In an interview with Local 10 News on Wednesday, the rescuer stated that she was “just more in astonishment than anything” at what had occurred. The woman said, “I honestly just hope she’s recovering well.” She asked not to be named. “I’m grateful that my boyfriend and I were there that evening.”
