LPD is looking into a missing person who was last seen in Lubbock in August

LUBBOCK, Texas — Monday saw the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit announcing that it was looking into the disappearance of Elmo Minjarez, Jr., 54, who was last seen in August. 

At 3:53 p.m. on Monday, the Lubbock Police Department was notified of a missing person. Information provided to the officers made them think Minjarez might be in danger.

According to a news release from LPD, Minjarez was last seen on August 16, 2024, close to the 1800 block of East Colgate Street. According to the description, Minjarez weighed 200 pounds, was 5 feet 6 inches tall, and had brown hair and eyes. Minjarez was listed as a Missing Person-Endangered in a national database.
