Human Trafficking In Miami Beach

While conducting an undercover operation, Miami Beach Police human trafficking detectives came upon an internet ad for prostitutes on Listcrawler. After being sent to a designated spot for the date, an undercover cop received a call from a woman who met him there and took him to an apartment where she made a $200 offer for sex. When detectives stormed the flat, the woman revealed that she uses prostitution as a means of paying her debts. The woman claimed to have met Brown in March after he replied to one of her internet posts, offered to pay her $150 for sex, and never left.

All About The Suspect

Brown stays at her home, but she doesn’t work or give anything to the household. Instead, she shoots photos of herself on the internet and texts potential clients who reply to her advertisements. If customers refused to pay her including one man who had canceled a CashApp transaction, Brown would visit the flat. The man got resentful when Brown called and warned to call his family if he failed to resubmit the payment. Brown was physically abusive to her and would lose his cool easily if he felt undervalued.

Victim Being Tortured

She had pictures and videos of the wounds that Brown had caused her, including a big bruise on her leg from when he followed her around the house with a big knife and then pulled her into a bathtub where he punched and assaulted her. In addition, the report stated that in July, she sustained a bruise on her inner lip due to his grabbing her by the face, and in August, he shoved her, resulting in her falling and suffering a major bruise on her leg.

He struck her in the eye during a different event that she documented. After Brown had instructed her to send him 20% of her earnings a percentage he later altered to a flat fee if she made $500 or more she had given him more than $14,000. When Brown came back to their building, he was placed under arrest. According to the complaint, he was carrying a bag that had three glass pipes that were suspected of holding crack cocaine due to their white residue.
