A Pet Cat Called ‘Rainbow’ Wandered Nearly 1000 miles Back Home After Getting Lost In Yellowstone

YELLOWSTONE: With the aid of its microchip, a cat that became lost in Yellowstone National Park managed to travel more than 900 miles to find its way home after two months, according to an animal advocacy group. Two and a half years old, Rayne Beau is a seal point mitted siamese. He wandered off while his owners, Susanne and Benny Anguiano of Salinas, California, were at the Wyoming park.

The Cat ‘Rainbow’ Got Lost

The name of the freshly moved cat, which is pronounced rainbow, went away on June 4, the first day of their visit to Fishing Bridge RV Park. Startled, Rayne Beau fled into the forest, and the couple tried in vain to bring him back with his favorite toys and goodies. The distraught pet owner claimed she never gave up on finding her missing animal. To keep his sister company, they did, however, adopt a new cat a month after Rayne Beau vanished. Anguiano said that the pair had saved Rayne Beau and his twin sister Starr at the age of eleven weeks.

The Cat Was Found After 61 Days

The pair then learned that a cat bearing Rayne Beau’s identification number had been found, 61 days after the former went missing, according to KSBW. About 190 miles from his Salinas, California, home, Rayne Beau was discovered in Roseville, California. The CEO of the organization, Leilani Fratis, took him to the Placer Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Roseville after that.

A Woman Found The Cat

The woman who handed in the cat noticed that he was not doing well. The woman who discovered him in Roseville and housed him for a few nights prior to bringing him to the SPCA. The cat managed to travel almost 1,000 miles from Wyoming to Roseville and back to Salinas, California. Although the couple is grateful that Rayne Beau is back in California, they don’t know how he managed to get there.
