3 arrested after Dallas carjacking and chase

DALLAS – Three suspects have been arrested following a carjacking and police chase in Dallas. The incident occurred on Friday night in the 5100 block of East Side Avenue in Old East Dallas, where the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and stole his van.

Dallas police later spotted the stolen vehicle, prompting a brief chase. All three suspects were ultimately apprehended. Newly released dashcam footage from Richardson police shows the suspect firing at officers during the chase.

Jessie Garcia, 36, is facing multiple charges, including aggravated robbery, evading arrest, and drug possession. Jose Hernandez, 38, has been charged with evading arrest, while Star Williams, 43, was taken into custody for probation violations.

The case remains under investigation, according to authorities.
