After Uber Drops Off A Woman In An Incorrect Location, A Man On A Bike Attacks Her

DETROIT: After being hospitalized due to a vicious assault by a man riding a bicycle, a woman from Michigan claims she is terrified. Police believe the attack was absolutely random. Morgan Catton, 27, was on her way to a friend’s house in Detroit last Friday when she unintentionally had her Uber drop her off at the wrong place at around 10:20 p.m. She chose to walk the remaining distance because she was only some blocks away and felt that it wouldn’t be a huge bother. It was then that a man on a bicycle attacked her.

The Man Approached Her On The Pavement

Catton stepped aside to give way to the man as he approached her on the pavement, but he halted. Catton claimed, “He got off his bike when he got close to me, looked at me, grasped me by the neck, and threw me to the ground, where he punched me in the face repeatedly.” It passed by so swiftly. Reaction time was nonexistent. I didn’t even manage to touch him. The attack, which the authorities claim was totally random, left Catton in the hospital with sutures around her eye and mouth. The 27-year-old, however, claims she is content just to be alive. “I felt like I was going to die,” she claimed. “It seemed like he had already done that before.”

She Wants To Raise Awareness

A man who appeared to be in his 40s, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and riding a bicycle that was either dark blue or gray is how the attacker is characterized. Once the attack was over, he rode off on the same bike. The incident, according to Catton, has scarred her. Her intention is to alert women to walk alone at night and to carry some form of protection, as well as to utilize the buddy system. In order to prevent anyone else from being harmed, she wants to raise awareness of the attacks. Her desire is for the police to apprehend her assailant. “If they don’t find him, I have a terrible feeling in my tummy that he will do this again,” the woman remarked. Police are still looking into the event.
