On Saturday, a guy suspected of killing two people in Boca Raton, Florida, was discovered in Laurens County. De’Vante Moss is accused of shooting and killing Christopher Liszak, 49, and Chandler Dill, 32, at an oceanfront hotel on Friday afternoon, according to the Boca Raton Police Department (BRPD).

A woman chased after Moss and they got into a fight, according to our sister station WPEC, which reported that Boca Raton Police Chief Michele Miuccio had retrieved video footage from the shooting. Moss was seen leaving a hotel room at the 365 Ocean Hotel with a purse. According to the police, this sparked the involvement of two more males, which intensified the argument and resulted in Moss killing three persons.

“Moss got out of the car, pulled out a pistol, and fired close-range shots at Liszak and the female victim, Dill. Moss shot and killed the male victim by the passenger door after turning the pistol in his direction, according to Chief Miuccio. Moss chased after the shot man as he crawled in the direction of the hotel. Moss shot the man in the abdomen as he raised his empty hands over his head.”

The third victim, the other man, was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment, but Liszak and Dill passed away from their wounds. Chief Miuccio stated that it seemed as though the people engaged in the shooting knew each other, even though the police were unable to confirm if they were friends.

Boynton Beach resident Moss had already left for Georgia when he was recognized as the gunman. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested him the following day. Moss, 30, is being held in Georgia while efforts are being made by law enforcement to extradite him to Palm Beach County, where he will be prosecuted on two charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and one count of attempted first-degree murder with a handgun.
