Cowboys hold on against Giants in injury-filled game

Thanks to the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys are once again winning. The Cowboys managed to hold on for a 20–15 victory over their NFC East rivals in an ugly, injury-filled “Thursday Night Football” match. It’s Dak Prescott’s 13th consecutive victory over New York as the starting quarterback.

The game-changing factor was the Dallas defense. Following two unsatisfactory performances against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, the team shut down the Giants’ run game, giving up just 26 yards on the ground on 24 attempts. This required quarterback Daniel Jones to throw for more yards in order to win.

Few players were as adept at receiving as Giants rookie Malik Nabers, who had 12 grabs for 115 yards. CeeDee Lamb had 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Prescott completed 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Regrettably, the injury bug affected both sides. In addition to Nabers being sidelined in the fourth quarter due to a concussion, Cowboys defensive standouts Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and DeMarcus Lawrence also exited the game at separate times due to injuries.
