Chase Ends in Collision and Arrests

As the fleeing Mercedes approached NW 38th Avenue and NW 161st Street, it collided with another vehicle. After the crash, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Antonio Vance, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by authorities nearby. Meanwhile, other officers took the 16-year-old passenger into custody. The situation took a more serious turn when shots were reportedly fired at the scene of the crash. Detectives are still investigating the exact details of the shooting and determining the number of individuals involved.

Gunfire Erupts Following Confrontation

According to police, the gunfire stemmed from a confrontation between the occupants of the Mercedes and the driver of the civilian vehicle they collided with. As the suspects approached the civilian driver, reportedly armed with firearms, the driver of the other vehicle drew his weapon and fired in their direction. The assailants then fled the scene. One of the subjects, a man whose identity has not yet been released, was shot in the arm and transported to Aventura Hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

Ongoing Investigation

The Miami-Dade Police Department continues to investigate the incident, including the circumstances surrounding the gunfire and the exact number of individuals involved in the confrontation. The charges against Antonio Vance and the 16-year-old have not yet been fully disclosed, but they face multiple offenses related to the pursuit, attempted flight, and armed confrontation.
