Nathaniel Lee Edmonds Choked His 1 Year Old Son To Death For Nit Listening To Him
Virginia: Authorities say a father in Virginia strangled his one-year-old kid and then abandoned him in his bed, where his mother discovered him unconscious when she returned from work. The 24-year-old Nathaniel Lee Edmonds is accused of second-degree murder.
All About The Incident
A press statement stated that on September 18, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Front Royal police located roughly 70 miles west of Washington, D.C. reacted to a 1-year-old boy who was experiencing cardiac arrest at a residence situated in the 300 block of North Royal Avenue. The youngster was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by Warren County Fire & Rescue medics, who later declared him deceased.
Nathaniel Lee Edmonds Killed His Son
According to a likely cause arrest affidavit that the Northern Virginia Daily was able to obtain, Edmonds took over when the boy’s mother departed for work. Upon her return home, Edmonds was nowhere to be found, and the boy lay unconscious on his bed. Edmonds was discovered by police strolling along U.S. 522 North at Fairground Road after a phone location located him in north Front Royal. He was taken into custody and brought in for questioning.

Edmonds acknowledged that he had choked his son for several minutes with both hands because the boy was not listening and he was at his breaking point. The youngster was foaming at the lips, he reported to the police. The boy’s name has not been made public by the police. Due to the continuing and delicate nature of the case, no additional information will be shared at this time. Edmonds was detained on suspicion of domestic abuse last year, according to the Daily. He is still being held without bond at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. The date of his upcoming court appearance is December 19.
