Their disaster ready staff is FEMA-trained, according to the group, and they work directly with local emergency management operations to offer food, water, and hygiene supplies during crises.
Metro Ministries, which provides housing for at-risk families in Tampa, promises to assist people in need of food, lodging, and supplies to rebuild their life following Hurricane Milton. Pet owners and animal enthusiasts can contact the Humane Society of the United States, which is working to obtain transportation for dogs and cats and send them to safety while also assisting devastated animal shelters.
