On Tuesday, Jake E. Lee, a guitarist for Red Dragon Cartel, Badlands, and Ozzy Osbourne, was shot several times in Las Vegas. According to his spokeswoman, a full recovery is anticipated for him. “As confirmed by management, legendary rock guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands, Red Dragon Cartel) was shot multiple times early this morning in a Las Vegas, NV street shooting,” Lee’s representative stated in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The statement went on to say, “Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital.” “He is expected to fully recover.” “Las Vegas authorities believe the shooting was completely random and occurred while Lee took his dog out for a walk in the early morning hours,” the statement continued. “As the incident is under police investigation, no further comments will be forthcoming. Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time.”

When contacted by Fox News Digital, a Las Vegas Police Department official verified the shooting. “On October 15, 2024, at approximately 2:42 a.m., LVMPD officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street,” said the statement. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man victim who appeared to have been shot. They took the man to the hospital. So far, no one has been arrested. This is still being investigated.

Before Zakk Wylde took his place, Lee contributed to the albums “Bark at the Moon” and “The Ultimate Sin” while playing as lead guitarist with Osbourne from 1982 until 1985. According to reports, Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, had gotten in touch with Lee regarding a potential reunion around 2010.

He told author Martin Popoff, “Well, I’d gotten a call from Sharon, and being Sharon, she actually managed to find me,” according to Loudwire. “I swear there were maybe a few individuals that knew my phone number, so she searched it down. She contacted me at home somehow and said that Ozzy was having issues with Zakk and that they were trying to find someone to replace him. She also asked if I would be interested in performing at certain festivals and potentially the next record.

Although Lee claimed to have been “interested” at the time, a problem had to be fixed before any kind of reunion could take place. “I can’t let sleeping dogs lie,” he said to Popoff. “I stated that I wanted to address the one issue I’ve had since the start if we were to move forward. I requested to be listed as the songwriter for “Bark At The Moon.” Lee had complained that tracks he had allegedly created for the CD were not given due credit.

“I said if we can get past that, then we can talk further about whether or not I can do this or not,” he added. “And [Sharon] promised to call me back the next day, but she never did. I interpreted that as a no. In addition, Lee founded the band Red Dragon and played in the heavy metal group Badlands Cartel in 2013.
