The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has also issued a Silver Alert, which is specifically designed to aid in the search for elderly individuals who may be experiencing cognitive difficulties, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s. McCuiston’s family and local authorities are growing increasingly concerned as days pass without any leads on her whereabouts.

Description and Last Known Sighting

Linda Ann McCuiston is described as a white female, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 125 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black shirt, dark-colored pants, and a black toboggan hat. This description is crucial for the public as they remain vigilant in the search for her. According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, McCuiston was last seen on Friday, October 11, between 6:20 and 6:30 p.m. in the yard of her home on the 100 block of Country Canyon Drive in the Meadow Wood subdivision. Despite efforts to locate her, there have been no confirmed sightings or reports since that evening. Given McCuiston’s cognitive impairment, it is possible that she may be disoriented or unable to seek help on her own, making the search all the more urgent. Authorities are asking the public to report any potential sightings, no matter how minor, as they work to locate her as quickly as possible.

Public Urged to Help

Local authorities and the Richmond County community are being asked to stay alert for any signs of McCuiston. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has mobilized officers to search the area and has enlisted the help of the public in the hope that someone may have seen her in the days following her disappearance.

Detective Marcus Norris of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. He encourages anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to come forward and report it. “We are urging anyone who may have seen something to reach out immediately,” Norris said. Tips could prove essential in locating McCuiston safely.
