A search for a missing 4-year-old in Hopkins continued throughout Sunday and into the night, as reported by the police.
The child, named Waeys Ali Mohamed, went missing around 7:30 a.m. and was last spotted walking east along Lake Street Northeast.
Authorities reported that police were searching for him near Blake Road North and Second Street Northeast. The boy is approximately 3 feet tall, weighs around 40 pounds, has short curly hair, and was wearing blue pajama pants, according to the police.
Police requested that individuals with surveillance cameras review their footage for any potential sightings, and urged anyone with information to call 911.
Authorities asked the public to avoid the search area since the boy is easily frightened by crowds and loud sounds. He has autism, is nonverbal, and is attracted to water.
