Former model Stacey Williams claims that Donald Trump groped and inappropriately touched her in Trump Tower in 1993, describing the incident as part of what she perceived to be a โtwisted gameโ between Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Williams, who modeled professionally in the 1990s, said she initially met Trump at a Christmas party in 1992, introduced by Epstein, whom she was dating casually at the time. She recalled that Epstein seemed to be a close friend of Trump, with the two spending considerable time together.
โIt became very clear then that he and Donald were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together,โ Williams said.
The alleged groping incident happened a few months later, in late winter or early spring of 1993, when Epstein suggested they stop by Trump Tower to visit Donald Trump while he and Williams were out for a walk. Years later, Epstein was convicted of sex offenses and died by suicide in prison in 2019.
Moments after they arrived, she alleges, Trump greeted Williams, pulled her toward him and started groping her. She said he put his hands โall over my breastsโ as well as her waist and her buttocks. She said she froze because she was โdeeply confusedโ about what was happening. At the same time, she said she believed she saw the two men smiling at each other.
Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for Donald Trumpโs campaign, provided a statement denying the allegations, which said in part: โThese accusations, made by a former activist for Barack Obama and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false. Itโs obvious this fake story was contrived by the Harris campaign.โ
Williams, 56, originally from Pennsylvania, has previously shared parts of her allegations on social media but disclosed more details about the incident during a call organized by a group called Survivors for Kamala, which supports Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. The Zoom call included notable figures such as actor Ashley Judd and law professor Anita Hill. Additionally, Survivors for Kamala published an advertisement in the New York Times this week, signed by 200 survivors of sexual and gender violence, highlighting that Trump has been found liable for sexual abuse in a court of law.
After the alleged incident, Williams recounted that she and Epstein left Trump Tower, sensing that he was growing angry with her. โJeffrey and I left, and he didnโt look at me or speak to me. I felt this seething rage surrounding me. When we reached the sidewalk, he turned to me and berated me, asking, โWhy did you let him do that?โโ she said during the Zoom call. She recalled feeling utterly confused and disgusted. Williams described the incident as part of a โtwisted game,โ saying, โI felt shame and disgust. As we parted ways, I kept revisiting the moment while his hands were all over me. It left me with a horrible pit in my stomach, as if it had been orchestrated. I felt like a piece of meat,โ she shared in an interview with the Guardian. Shortly after, she and Epstein went their separate ways. Williams claimed she was unaware of Epsteinโs later-revealed pattern of sexual abuse, as he is now recognized as one of the worst and most prolific pedophiles in modern history.
Williams discussed the allegations with at least two friends, both of whom spoke to the Guardian. One friend, who wished to remain anonymous, recalled that Williams mentioned the incident around 2005 or 2006 while talking about her acquaintance with Epstein, who had introduced her to Trump. The friend distinctly remembers Williams saying that Trump had groped her. Although Epstein was not widely known at the time, this friend later recalled the story when the Epstein scandal broke. โWhat I remember is that it was gropingโฆ what we would refer to as feeling someone up,โ she stated.
ย Ally Gutwillinger, another close friend, said that Williams told her about the incident in 2015, recalling the timing because Trump had just announced his presidential candidacy. Gutwillinger remembered visiting Williamsโ home that week and noticing a postcard of Mar-a-Lago. When she asked about it, Williams told her to turn it over and said something along the lines of, โHeโs vile; he groped me in Trump Tower.โ
