In a recent interview with MSNBC, Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign, announced that Vice President Kamala Harris will not be appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
“We talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast, unfortunately, it isn’t going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign,” Sams told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.
Sams also said that “the vice president is happy to go anywhere and any place to talk to a broad segment of the country.”
Last week, it was reported that Vice President Kamala Harris was considering an interview on Joe Rogan’s podcast to engage more male voters. The publication indicated that officials from Harris’s campaign had discussions with Rogan’s team earlier this week, but an official appearance had not been confirmed.
According to Politico, former President Donald Trump is scheduled to participate in an interview this Friday on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” a podcast that has over 14 million followers on Spotify. This will mark Trump’s first appearance on Rogan’s show, which has drawn criticism in recent years for its discussions on public health and various controversial topics.
