Two people were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital following a boat fire near Pelican Harbor Marina in North Bay Village.
The incident occurred this afternoon when Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call on the 1200 block of Northeast 79th Street, where they found a boat engulfed in flames.
The fire department told Local 10 that firefighters worked quickly to put out the intense flames on the boat.
City of Miami Fire Rescue, along with multiple other agencies, promptly arrived at the scene to tackle the fire. Firefighters used fire-retardant foam to smother the flames and prevent the blaze from spreading further, working together to bring the situation under control swiftly.
