According to police reports, the fatal shooting took place under circumstances that are still under investigation. Law enforcement officers are working diligently to gather evidence and follow leads in an effort to apprehend the individual responsible.
The community has been urged to remain vigilant as the investigation continues, with authorities asking anyone with information to come forward to help bring the suspect to justice.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to a call reporting gunshots near 11700 Sheridan Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a Nissan Altima that had crashed, with its driver suffering from gunshot wounds.
The exact details leading to the shooting remain unclear, but the incident has sparked an active investigation as authorities work to determine what transpired before the shots were fired. The scene was quickly secured as officers began gathering evidence and assessing the situation.
The driver was rushed to a nearby hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries following the shooting, according to a statement released by the Pembroke Pines Police on Saturday.
