Halloween may be over, but things are looking frightening for Inter Miami

On Saturday, Miami suffered a 2-1 defeat to Atlanta United in Game 2 of their best-of-three first-round playoff series. The loss means the decisive Game 3 will take place back in Florida, where Lionel Messi and his team now face the risk of an early playoff exit. After a 2-1 victory in Game 1 at home, Miami saw the scoreline reversed in Atlanta, despite a major first-half error by the Five Stripes.

Atlantaโ€™s goalkeeper Brad Guzan misjudged a dropkick, sending the ball off a Miami player. Federico Redondo quickly recovered it and passed to center-back Hector Martinez, who slotted it into an open net in the 40th minute. Atlanta, however, found momentum after halftime, creating stronger chances and controlling the gameโ€™s tempo.

Their efforts paid off in the 58th minute when left-back Pedro Amador delivered a precise cross from deep into the box, allowing center-back Derrick Williams to score with a powerful header, leveling the game.
