A rollover crash in Hallandale Beach on Wednesday resulted in several people being injured and caused the closure of northbound Federal Highway, according to police reports.

Hallandale Beach police stated that the individuals involved in the crash, which occurred in the 100 block of North Federal Highway, sustained minor injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Further details about the victims’ identities have not been released.

In an unusual turn of events, police also discovered a cat inside the vehicle involved in the crash. The feline was safely secured by authorities.

“Please note that the northbound lanes of Federal Highway are temporarily closed as the investigation continues,” police advised. “Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes and exercise caution in the area.”

Aerial footage from Chopper6 showed a silver sedan on its side with the windshield wipers still running. In the video, an officer is seen carrying the cat in his arms as part of the ongoing response to the incident.
