American Freight, a well-known furniture chain with stores in multiple states, is holding a large going-out-of-business sale as it prepares to permanently close all 328 of its locations. This includes seven stores in the Houston area, which will also be affected by the shutdown.
The closure decision comes as the company faces persistent inflation and economic challenges, according to its parent company, Franchise Group, Inc., which recently filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
Store closing sales officially began on November 5 and are available both online and at all American Freight locations. Hilco Consumer-Retail, a company specializing in managing retail wind-downs, is overseeing the sales.
Customers can expect substantial discounts on American Freight’s entire inventory, as the company works to clear out its stock and wrap up operations nationwide.
Shoppers can take advantage of significant savings during the storewide liquidation, with discounts of up to 30 percent off the lowest ticketed prices on a wide range of items. The sale includes various furniture pieces such as living room sets, bedroom furniture, and dining tables.
Additionally, customers can find a selection of both scratch-and-dent and new-in-box appliances, including refrigerators, washers, and dryers, all available at deeply discounted prices. As new inventory continues to arrive, it is expected to sell out quickly, making this a limited-time opportunity to grab exceptional deals. Customers are encouraged to act fast to secure the items they want before the sale ends and inventory runs out.
“Our goal is to deliver outstanding value to customers during this full chain closing sale,” said Ian Fredericks, CEO of Hilco Consumer-Retail. “Everything is on sale and must be sold, and we recommend shopping early for the best selection.”
Throughout the store closing sales, American Freight will continue to offer select financing and delivery services, allowing customers to enjoy great discounts while benefiting from flexible payment options and the convenience of home delivery.
American Freight operates 39 stores across Texas, with seven locations in the Houston area:
• 19750 North Fwy, Spring
• 3267 E Broadway St #16, Pearland
• 11051 East Freeway, Houston
• 20750 Gulf Fwy, Webster
• 5901 Griggs Rd, Houston
• 11687 Westheimer Rd, Houston
• 1002 TX-340 Loop, Bellmead
During their store closing sale, customers can enjoy up to 30 percent off the lowest ticketed prices on a variety of furniture, scratch-and-dent, and new-in-box appliances.
These discounts are available both in-store and online, but all sales are final. It’s a great chance to shop for the best selection while supplies last.
