Authorities are hopeful that new information and a $5,000 reward will help them locate the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a father of three in Redland earlier this week.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Southwest 208th Street and Southwest 194th Avenue.

Miami-Dade Police identified the victim as 46-year-old Alexis Munoz, who was hit by a 2022 Ford F-250 towing a black trailer with an orange Kubota front loader. After striking Munoz, the driver left the F-250, entered a small red pickup truck, and fled the scene.

Munoz’s family shared that he and his wife were employees of Costa Farms, and he had been riding his scooter after dropping her off at work. Munoz, a father of three, had recently relocated to the United States from Cuba just six months ago.
