Missing 8-Year-Old Girl Found Safe in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 15, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — After a tense few hours, the Salt Lake City Police Department has confirmed that 8-year-old Romina, who was reported missing earlier this evening, has been found safe and is now being reunited with her family.

Romina was last seen around 6:30 p.m. near 800 North Andrea Circle, prompting an immediate search effort. The Salt Lake City Police Department quickly mobilized resources, deploying a K9 tracking unit, a drone operator, patrol officers, and bike officers to scour the area in search of the young girl.

At approximately 9 p.m., the SLCPD shared the good news in a social media post, announcing, “We are happy to report officers safely located Romina. She is being reunited with her family now.” Authorities also extended their gratitude to the community, saying, “Thank you for everyone’s help sharing and searching.”

The swift response from law enforcement and the community’s vigilance were crucial in ensuring Romina’s safe return, highlighting the collective power of community support in times of need.
