The first event happened in the Almonaster Avenue parking lot, close to the Franklin Avenue intersection. Approximately eight persons were hurt in the shooting, according to the police.

Another shooting spree occurred on a bridge near Dorgenois Street, farther down Almonaster Avenue, approximately forty-five minutes later. One person was critically injured in the incident, while another person lost their life. “There are two different scenes here,” stated Superintendent of Police Anne Kirkpatrick of New Orleans. Two distinct gunshot incidents have occurred. They are separated by forty-five minutes. They are separated by forty-five minutes. It seems like an automobile was involved.and the crowd was hit by gunfire.

Although it was unclear whether the two distinct shooting occurrences were connected, police stated that they were hoping someone could have recorded something about it that could aid in solving the case. We did experience another round of shooting up on the bridge about forty-five minutes later, and two people were hit. Police Superintendent Kirkpatrick stated, “We know that the shooting happened within the crowd because no cars were allowed on that bridge.”
