After viewing fresh security footage, the family of the missing Hawaii lady is growing increasingly worried about her location. After failing to board a connecting aircraft from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) via Maui to New York, Hannah Kobayashi vanished on November 8. The disturbing video shows that on November 11, the day she was last heard from, the 31-year-old was spotted with an unnamed person close to the Pico Metro station.
The family of Hannah Kobayashi is frightened after viewing fresh footage. On November 9, after missing her trip, Kobayashi was spotted at an event at The Grove in Los Angeles, which is around an hour’s drive from LAX. However, on November 11, her phone placed her back at the LAX, and on November 12, her family reported her missing to the Angeles Police Department, stating that she was 5′ 10″ tall and weighed approximately 140 pounds.
Larie Pidgeon, Kobayashi’s aunt, told the New York Post that the discovery of fresh video has raised a “significant alarm and kind of solidified the family’s suspicion that something has been awry” while Kobayashi is still unaccounted for. “It has caused us great concern,” she continued. Although the family is hoping for a more intense search for Kobayashi, the government has reassured them that an investigation into her situation is still underway.
“The family is kind of doing their own investigation on the ground,” Kobayashi’s aunt continued, adding that they hope to “put a little bit more pressure on (police) to do as much as the family’s doing.” Police “are not taking this as seriously as we would hope because my sister is considered an adult who can make her own choices,” Kobayashi’s sister Sydni posted online this week.
