A man and woman are now facing serious legal charges after the tragic death of their 10-year-old adopted son, according to authorities. Alejandra Marin, 51, and Juan Sanchez Moreno, 59, have been arrested and charged with murder, torture, and child abuse following the death of their 10-year-old adopted son, as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office in a recent statement.

The tragic incident unfolded on Thursday, November 21, when the child was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. Prior to his death, deputies discovered the boy in severe medical distress at a home in Moreno Valley earlier that day. Authorities have not disclosed the child’s identity as the investigation continues.

An initial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death uncovered potential signs of neglect and abuse, prompting authorities to take immediate action. According to inmate records reviewed, Marin has been booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center, where she is being held without bail. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26.
