Volusia Sheriff’s Office searching for missing Deltona 7-year-old
Deputies from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office are looking for a 7-year-old autistic kid who vanished from his Deltona neighborhood home this evening. Around 8:00 p.m., Charlie Newton, the kid, vanished while going north on Stillwater Avenue in Deltona. According to VSO, Charlie is non-verbal and might be drawn to water and Christmas lights. He is also known to scale trees, they said. Charlie was last spotted sporting white shorts and a black T-shirt.
Other resources are being called in to help, according to the VSO, while deputies scour the area. According to VSO, local households received a reverse 911.
