The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. in the 2100 block of W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Responding officers found a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

Surveillance footage from a nearby business captured the events leading up to the shooting. He was later apprehended at his residence and charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree Premeditated Firearm and Aggravated Battery Causing Great Bodily Harm or with a Deadly Weapon Firearm, both felony offenses.

Police have not released further details about a potential motive, and the investigation remains ongoing. The victim’s condition has not been updated at this time.
