Speaking out once more about her troublesome daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, is Rosie O’Donnell. The former talk show host said, “So yes this is true,” as the caption for a Tuesday Instagram photo of a reporter requesting comment via email regarding Chelsea’s most recent arrest.

“After being bailed out by her birth mother , Chelsea was arrested again , and is facing many charges related to her drug addiction.” Chelsea was arrested on November 18 and is presently being held, according to Marinette County, Wisconsin, jail documents that USA TODAY was able to access.

The allegations against her include reportedly running a “drug trafficking place,” abandoning a kid, domestic violence, and carrying methamphetamine, THC, drug paraphernalia, and an illegally obtained prescription. Her arrest in November comes after arrests in September and October.

It was not possible to get in touch with Chelsea O’Donnell’s attorney for comment. O’Donnell and his ex-wife, Kelli Carpenter, had five children together, including 27-year-old Chelsea.

At that time, O’Donnell also spoke out about the arrests of her daughter. The former talk show presenter thanked those who have also been affected by addiction for their support in a TikTok. In 2015, Chelsea O’Donnell made news as a teenager when she fled her family in New York and was apprehended in New Jersey a week later.

I think it’s hard to be a public person sometimes, and it’s hard for the children of those public people.”

She continued: “But, you know, it is what it is in the culture today. And here we are.”

According to Rosie O’Donnell’s Instagram post from October 30, 2023, she is now a mother of four children, the youngest of whom was born last autumn.
