A 23-year-old Colombian woman, infamous for her striking appearance and deadly reputation, has been arrested in connection with multiple high-profile gangland killings. Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, who goes by the alias “La Muneca” (The Doll), is accused of being a dangerous hitwoman linked to a series of murders in Barrancabermeja, a municipality in Colombia.

Among the crimes she is allegedly involved in is the brutal ambush and murder of her ex-lover. According to reports from Libertad Digital, Ojeda Rodriguez is said to have carried out these killings under the direction of the criminal organization Los de la M gang. The arrest has brought to light her role in orchestrating and executing these targeted attacks, painting a chilling picture of the woman behind the nickname “The Doll.”

According to a report from the Spanish outlet Infobae, Rodriguez was reportedly in the process of expanding her criminal operations before her arrest. She was said to be leading a small group of hitmen, overseeing a spree of violent crimes and instilling fear across the region. Her efforts appeared to be part of a larger attempt to strengthen her influence and extend her reign of terror in the area.

Rodriguez was arrested in connection with the death of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, on July 23 in the rural area of Piedecuesta, Colombia, according to the Magdalena Medio police. Authorities reported that Rodriguez arranged a meeting with Jesus, claiming they would discuss a financial matter.

However, during the meeting, two individuals on a motorcycle approached and shot Jesus. Investigators believe the attack was carried out under Rodriguez’s direction, as she is suspected of being involved in a network responsible for a series of violent incidents in the region.

Rodriguez was arrested along with her accomplice, 24-year-old Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, who is known by the alias “Gorda Sicaria” (“Fat Hitwoman”), as reported by Libertad Digital. A third individual, identified only as “Leopoldo,” was also apprehended during the same operation.

Authorities seized a revolver and a 9-millimeter pistol at the time of the arrests. Investigators are now working to determine whether these firearms were involved in any of the recent murders attributed to the criminal group, according to local reports.

The arrest of these individuals is seen as a significant step in dismantling the network believed to be responsible for multiple violent crimes in the region.

Lt. Col. Mauricio Herrera of the Magdalena Medio police commented that the recent arrests of Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, known as “La Muneca,” and her accomplice, “Leopoldo,” have brought a temporary sense of calm to the region. He emphasized that these arrests mark an important step forward in the effort to dismantle the criminal organizations responsible for the series of homicides that have plagued the area.

According to reports from Infobae, Bucaramanga, Colombia, which has a population of over 1.3 million, experiences a homicide every three days, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the city, as noted by World Population Review. While the arrests are seen as a positive development, authorities have not yet disclosed the formal charges that La Muneca and her alleged collaborators will face.
