Police arrest man accused of exposing himself to mother and daughter on Clematis Street
Police in West Palm Beach have taken into custody a guy who they believe exposed himself to a mother and daughter on Clematis Street. Additionally, he has previously been arrested for this offense. Following his arrest in West Palm Beach on Wednesday, 36-year-old Abraham Castro was charged with one crime of lewd and lascivious behavior toward a minor, one offense of exposing sex organs, and one count of failure to appear from an arrest in 2023.
According to police, Castro approached a Martin County woman and her 11-year-old daughter on Nov. 28 just before 6 p.m. as they were photographing holiday decorations in the 600 block of Clematis Street and asked them to snap a picture of him using his cell phone. The mother noticed that Castro had exposed himself when he motioned below his waist after they had taken the picture.
Castro tried a similar strategy on December 23, 2023, when he was jailed for asking two women to take his picture and then exposing himself. Castro was taken into the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center after confessing to exposing himself to the mother and daughter following his arrest on Wednesday. “Homeland Security Investigations has placed a detainer on Castro, who will be charged with illegal reentry after the West Palm Beach case concludes,” according to the West Palm Beach Police Department. There may be further victims in this case, according to the police. They encourage anyone with information to report it or give Detective Ryan Brust a call at 561-822-1621.
