After reportedly threatening a Blue Cross Blue Shield agent over the phone regarding a recently rejected insurance claim, a Florida lady is currently incarcerated. Briana Boston, 42, was charged with threatening to carry out a mass killing or an act of terrorism after she was heard stating, “Delay, deny, depose,” according to Polk County jail records. According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, “you people are next.” The Lakeland Police Department told the source that Boston was furious over medical claims that had just been rejected and that she had attempted to scare UnitedHealthcare by using the recent murder of CEO Brian Thompson as leverage.

Boston is said to have apologized and acknowledged making the threat when Lakeland police visited her residence. She also admitted to police that she is not dangerous and does not own any firearms. Boston also claimed that healthcare firms “deserved karma from the world because they are evil” and engage in game-playing, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX 13. Boston was detained a few days after Ivy League graduate Luigi Mangione, 26, was taken into custody on suspicion of cold-bloodedly killing Thompson in New York City on December 4.

The phrases “delay,” “deny,” and “depose” were allegedly inscribed on shell casings found at the scene of the heinous murder. Social media users’ reactions to Thompson’s murder have been mixed, with some praising Mangione as a “hero” for pursuing the insurance CEO and others denouncing the violent crime. Aย  combination of Brian Thompson’s headshot and Luigi Mangione shouting outside the court. Following Thompson’s murder, UnitedHealthcare took its executives’ names and photos down from its website. Other insurance companies, including certain Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, and pharmacies have followed suit out of fear of imitators.
